Blairgowrie Town Hall Association – BTHA – SC028287

Blairgowrie Town Hall Association is proud to have contributed, in their small way, by hosting the N.H.S. Vaccination Centre – one of three in Perth & Kinross, for the last 9 months.
For the month of December 2021, the N.H.S. will hand back the hall to the Association in order to allow a much needed service, the Blood Donor Unit, access for their regular users and new donors at this crucial time of year.
This finds us in the happy position of being able to allow some much needed seasonal entertainment in the form of the town’s traditional Christmas Pantomime, which is normally held in December.   Details will be made available soon.

The Blairgowrie Town Hall is one of the few Town Halls in Perth & Kinross which has its own Town Hall Management Committee, whose purpose is to provide for the benefit of all residents residing in the catchment area of the Blairgowrie High School, without distinction as of sex, politics, religious or other opinions, and by associating with the Local Authority, Voluntary Organisations and residents of the designated area, in common effort, to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life, for the said residents.

The Town Hall comprises a large auditorium seating 190 people, with a balcony seating a further 117.  Upstairs is a smaller hall which is available for meetings of up to 20 people.

In the auditorium there is a full size stage, complemented by three back stage dressing rooms equipped with wash basins, mirrors and chairs, and  three back-stage toilet cubicles each with hand washing facilities.

An audio system is available to hirers or they can bring their own equipment.

Modern Ladies toilets are located on the first floor, with Gents and Disabled toilets located on the ground floor.

Also on the ground floor is a large modern kitchen, equipped with a commercial six-burner gas hob and combined oven, two electric hot water urns, an upright fridge-freezer, a dishwasher for glasses and cups/mugs,  store cupboards for crockery, cutlery and etc. and a serving hatch. Washing facilities are provided by one double sink and one hand washing basin all with hot and cold running water.

The Town Hall is centrally heated by radiators operating from gas-fired boilers situated in the external boiler room.

The Town Hall is available for hire for all occasions such as parties, concerts, dances, funeral services, wedding receptions, keep fit and exercise classes, sale and craft fairs, at reasonable rates which can obtained by telephoning Alan McCombe on 07751 434296
